Indiana University initiated a partnership with Waseda University in April 2012, the result of efforts led by º£½Ç´óÉñ Associate Vice President for International Affairs Gil Latz and Waseda University Vice President for International Affairs Uchida Katsuichi. In March 2013, to facilitate collaboration among faculties, the universities established a faculty exchange program. The primary agreement and sub-agreement for faculty exchange were renewed in 2023, extending the partnership for another five year period. Waseda University is º£½Ç´óÉñ's sole university partner in Tokyo.
